About this role
The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities while preventing illness and injury. RNs alleviate suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. They ensure compliance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Standards, Code of Ethics, and Bill of Patient Rights.
In Memorial 6 Med-Surg Orthopedics at UHS Binghamton General Hospital, the RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. This per diem role involves working on an as-needed basis with hours assigned by the manager. Focus is on orthopedic and medical-surgical patient needs in an acute care setting.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current NYS RN License
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting (preferred)
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (preferred)
- Relevant skills certification (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by assigned unit (preferred)

Benefits
- Compensation range of $40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience
