The Recovery RN provides direct and indirect care to patients and families throughout the pre- and post-operative experience. Work in pre-op, Phase I & Phase II recovery areas required. Rotate to other perioperative departments as needed.

Surgical Services includes six-bed Operating Room, Pre-Admissions Testing, Pre-Operative Services, Recovery Room, Surgical Day Care, Ambulatory Procedure Room, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Pain Treatment Center, and Central Sterile Reprocessing.

Requirements

  • MA RN license
  • BCLS required
  • ACLS required
  • PALS required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Critical care experience required
  • Telemetry experience required
  • BSN preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect care to patients and families throughout the pre- and post-operative experience
  • Work in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery areas
  • Rotate to other perioperative departments as needed
  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia in PACU
  • Assess vital signs and manage post-operative pain
  • Prepare patients for discharge from recovery phases
  • Collaborate with perioperative team to ensure safe patient transitions
