The Recovery RN provides direct and indirect care to patients and families throughout the pre- and post-operative experience. Work in pre-op, Phase I & Phase II recovery areas required. Rotate to other perioperative departments as needed.

Surgical Services includes six-bed Operating Room, Pre-Admissions Testing, Pre-Operative Services, Recovery Room, Surgical Day Care, Ambulatory Procedure Room, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Pain Treatment Center, and Central Sterile Reprocessing.

Requirements

MA RN license
BCLS required
ACLS required
PALS required
Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience in a hospital setting preferred
Critical care experience required
Telemetry experience required
BSN preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect care to patients and families throughout the pre- and post-operative experience
Work in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery areas
Rotate to other perioperative departments as needed
Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia in PACU
Assess vital signs and manage post-operative pain
Prepare patients for discharge from recovery phases
Collaborate with perioperative team to ensure safe patient transitions
