CenterPointe Hospital, located in the historic Little Hills area along the Missouri River, serves adolescents, adults, and seniors struggling with behavioral health concerns. With 150 beds and a full continuum of care, the facility helps patients make sustained progress toward better health on its serene, 20-acre main campus in St. Charles, Missouri.
Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment of patients under the supervision of the Medical Director. Work collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners. Focus on inpatient mental health, detoxification, dual diagnosis, and residential treatment across age groups.
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness independently or as part of a healthcare team. Assess physical and psychiatric health of patients and formulate measures to meet patient needs. Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plans and communicate with physicians for quality care.

Requirements
- Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program required
- Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner required
- Experience in addiction highly preferred
- Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required
- Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates
- DEA license
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team
- Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plan
- Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs
- Chart clinical observation, evaluations and treatment of patient in required time according to facility guidelines
- Communicate with physicians and other staff as necessary to provide quality care for patient
- Encourage family involvement in patient care and respond to identified patient and family educational needs
- Provide on-call responsibilities on scheduled basis directed by medical staff
- Focus on health promotion and disease prevention; order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays; prescribe medication
